Bet everyone knows the main function of an air plane Black-Box. It is to capture last minute malfunctioning details of an air plane that may cause for it to crash. ViGi VVR works on similar concept likes the Black Box; however it is meant to capture video evidences in order to protect the safety and interests of the driver involved in the road accident. Therefore, motorists can enjoy peace of mind knowing that the ViGi VVR will automatically record footages before, during and after a collision – without having to engage in an accident dispute. In another words, it is “your eye witness to road accidents”.
Every driver needs it! As much as 20% of vehicles in Singapore were reported to be involved in accidents last year (2008), this device is able to safeguard your interests and safety. Companies which have a fleet of vehicles will find ViGi VVR useful in daily operations - apart from saving thousands of dollars justifying accident claims of not their fault, their drivers will become more cautious than before.
When you are involved in an accident, how could you prove to insurance company or traffic police that you are not at fault? Without ViGi VVR, it will be your words against the other party’s words. Ever you have taken picture at the scene of accident, it does not tell the entire picture of whose is at fault. And what if that errant driver shifts his car to the road shoulder claiming he does not want to obstruct traffic? In that case, it is impossible for you to capture any evidences. Many drivers usually find themselves stranded with their attempts to resolve accident disputes, just because they do not have crucial evidences to prove they were not at fault.
ViGi VVR captures crucial evidences of how accident happened and when it exactly happened with date and time recorded; saving your time and effort to argue. Yes. Major insurers in Singapore reckoned that video evidences showing footages before, during and after collision is helpful in determining accident liabilities.
ViGi VVR does not require any mechanical or electrical modification to the car. It is a plug-and-use kind of product. Therefore, technically speaking, it does not violate any regulation by installing ViGi VVR in your vehicle.
ViGi VVR can be installed in 3 simple steps. It promises clean and simple installations – No drilling, No sticky tapes and No workshop installation required!
For video demonstration, please go to page ViGi VVR has no running cost as there is no battery needed to operate the device. You just need to hook up the power cable from the car cigarette lighter socket to the video recorder unit. ViGi VVR starts recording four (4) seconds after power is hooked up – no need to activate any buttons. No hassle and save money!
ViGi VVR, by default, saves VGA (640*480) quality data into SD flash memory card, in 5 min sectors. It is able to record up to 90mins of video data with a 2GB SD card / up to 180mins of video with 4GB SD card.
Alternatively, you can opt to save into smaller QVGA (320*240) files, by following the instructions given in the owner’s manual. Recording time basically doubled, however , take note: it disables date and time recording in the video recording. ViGi VVR’s auto file maintenance system works on ‘first-in first out’ concept, it overwrites the oldest data automatically. You are not required to delete previous video recording. When you need the video evidences, just remove the SD card from the recorder and save the file into your personal computer.
With LED indicators on the control panel, you are able to tell the operating status of the recorder. When it is recording, you will see a ‘blinking RED’ light together with stationary ‘Blue’ LED light. When the recording stopped, you only see stationary ‘Blue’ LED light. |
